There was a lot of talk about probable team that would be on the way to England. Specially after the series lost Australia. This World Cup is considered closest of all as all the teams are in good touch of late .West indies, Australia, and unlikely Srilanka have win under their belt but sadly India are entering this tournament with three series losses though two of them were twenty over series. So lets try and predict the probable 15 for the upcoming World Cup considering the form of the ongoing IPL.As many experts say form is a gold dust in cricket.
The openers are very much fixed that is Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. The third opener would be KL Rahul as his ongoing form in IPL has been tremendous. Then the Skipper Virat Kohli who has been in a little patchy because of his poor performance of franchise but nothing can stop him when he play for the blue jersey.
Then comes the position which yet to be settled . It seemed to be settled after knock of 92 played by Rayudu during New Zealand series but after that he hasn't looked comfortable at all at the crease, yes he got fifty oflate but that doesn't seems to be enough to be befitted in the number 4 slot .Then who? There plenty of option left ,Dinesh who looked promising during the ODI series in Australia but then he dropped from the playing eleven the next series and then dropped from team during Australia series at home. So he clearly will be lacking confidence playing for country but then also he can play in a back up keeper. The next option is Mayank agarwal who is looking good in IPL but somehow he fit in scheme of things as he making debut during the world cup if he is selected. Rishab Pant is getting good starts but he is not finishing matches for his team . And the last contender is Shubman Gill he has been pretty good touch in IPL whenever he got fair chance.Kl Rahul is also very srong contender for the number 4 slot but will be picked as a back up opener or middle order batsmen is still a question. I personally think Karthik is best option as he can field good too but the only Rishab is lacking is fielding. So I think it will be Karthik or Rahul.Then the ever dependable MS Dhoni would be key for middle order .Kedar Jadhav is also a important batsman with his useful wicket taking ability .Then Hardik Pandya who been in phenomenal hitting form in IPL would be very important when it will come to finshing the innings and not to forget his crucial overs .
For the first time ever India would be going to the world cup with more settled bowling lineup ,Kuldeep and Chahal taking care of the spin department.Bumrah will lead the bowling attack with probably Bhuveshwar Kumar though he is not in full form offlate and on the other hand Shami has been excellent form.Vijay Shankar seems to be pretty much certain for World Cup as back up all-rounder and I think a good number 4 batsmen as well .
