So the IPL is done and dusted and now is the time when the best in the business reunite to get a hand on prestigious World Cup.
Lets talk about the home team England ,they have played some ridiculous cricket past 1 year with many players growing in stature day by day.They have Jos Buttler the man in form and I'm saying that again ,form is a gold dust in this format of the game . Jos Buttler is really turning from a one game player to a very consistent performer .With Willey ,Plunkett ,Woakes and Rashid in the bowling line up ,it becomes a really formidable team and of course one of the favourites to win the title.
Then Australia, they actually have done pretty well recently, and when Smith and Warner returned when playing against New Zealand Eleven the squad looked really strong .
New Zealand can be considered as team which has done alright but it might be a big question whether they show up their A game at the right time.But all in all Williamson and co are very settled team .
Sri Lankan team are the only team which looks really poor ,with Karunaratne as captain and no Chandimal ,the Sri Lankan squad looks a big mess.But of course they have the experience of Malinga and Mathews .
Pakistan are right now playing against the title contenders England in that series their batting looked good but bowling looked a problem but they are very unpredictable side and they can win any match on their given day.
South Africa had heart attack few days back when they heard that Rabada was injured. Rabada is expected to be fit before the World cup comes but South African team without Rabada looks very poor.I really think South Africa do not have that good side for the world cup but nevertheless they have nothing to lose in this World cup as they are not entering the World cup as favourites.
West Indies in this World cup will be the dark horses as they are really picking up at the right time . Andre Russell has also been included in this World cup ,making the squad really strong and also their opener Shai Hope has been in good form in the ongoing series . I personally think this team can make the distance.
Afghanistan can also be one of the dark horses but because of their captaincy changes their team seems to have a bad atmosphere. But it would be always difficult for the opposition if Afghanistan bat first because their spinners are really the one who can win matches in their quota of overs.
Bangladesh played very well in the last world cup edition and they might look to play well in this World cup too as they clearly have better team than the last one.
The second team that is termed as favourites is India.India has a pretty well balanced squad with good depth in batting as well in bowling. Everyone seems be in good touch but there is major doubt whether Kedar Jadhav would be fit before the World Cup arrives .But all in all this team looks very strong and of course major title contenders.
